Itzel Coronado is a practitioner of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, licensed by the state of California, and nationally certified. Her private practice is located in Cupertino, the headquarters of Apple.

In addition, Traditional Chinese Medicine has a strong focus on prevention and is beneficial in the maintenance of good health despite the many demands and challenges of a busy lifestyle. Her work adheres to the nature-based spirit of ancient Chinese medicine while keeping relevant to modern times. License and Education
Itzel Coronado is a Licensed in Acupuncture by the state of California, certified by the California Acupuncture Board. Diplomate in Oriental Medicine- Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine, certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique.
Itzel received her education in Traditional Oriental Medicine through the University of East-West Medicine with a Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM), took the Tutorial Program by the state of California, Part of her studies included acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and Western disease diagnosis. Itzel received her Bachelor's degree majoring in Medical Acupuncture and Integrative Rehabilitation from the renowned UNEVE in Mexico, a rigorous five-year program consisting of over 4,050 hours, both in the classroom and under clinical supervision as an intern. She has a career in Medical Acupuncture and Integrative Rehabilitation in Mexico, being national certified by the SEP, and she has studies in Traditional Mexican Medicine and Chiropractic. She is also a researcher in subjects as Cancer, PTSD, Phobias, Women’s Health and Chronic Pain.
As part of her clinical education, Itzel has worked with women of all ages to help regulate their menstrual cycle, relieve symptoms of PMS, balance moods, digestion and emotions, regulate and stabilize hormone levels, and support the fertility process as well as provide pregnancy support.
She has also successfully treated a number of men and women for a variety of issues such as pain management, anxiety, depression, stress reduction, digestive conditions, allergies, adverse reactions to radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy, insomnia, hypertension and many other internal and external pathologies. Additionally, Itzel practiced at the Centro de Rehabilitacion e Integracion Social in Mexico City, Initiative for low-income families and Children with Disabilities, a program providing medical care to children who suffer from physical disabilities and chronic illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and diverse syndromes.
Itzel strongly supports the integration of eastern and western medicine and is committed to helping people reach their utmost potential in physical, mental and spiritual health, respecting each individual as a unique being. Itzel is a general practitioner treating women, men and children with a wide range of conditions utilizing a variety of healing tools including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, eastern nutrition, modern technologies and lifestyle counseling in her practice. While Itzel treats a wide variety of pathologies, she has a particular interest in cosmetic, digestive issues, anxiety and depression, PTSD, phobias, pain management, allergies and supporting cancer care.
Itzel was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. Her diverse background and experiences led her to an interest in the human condition. It was while studying as a surgeon student at the renowned UNAM Medicine School in Mexico City that she became interested in Traditional Medicine. She observed people's struggles with illness and pain and as a result of Chinese Medicine achieve individual health, happiness, balance and well-being. This experience triggered her own journey of helping people to feel their best, emotionally, physically and spiritually. In addition to her strong commitment to health and wellness, Itzel enjoys meditation, hiking, art, movies, read and write, nature, and ride bicycle in company of her husband and her dog.
